Consultation Re Proposed Amendment to the Ngaere School Enrolment Scheme

You will likely be aware that the Ngaere School Board has been working with Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | The Ministry of Education to develop an amendment to the enrolment scheme for our school.
The amendment is required to:
• ensure the home zone includes all the addresses for which Ngaere School is the closest school of its type
• update references to legislation
• remove ambiguities
As part of this process, we have engaged with the boards of surrounding schools, and have hosted a community meeting. We are now inviting public submissions from the wider community on the proposed scheme.
The proposed amendment can be viewed, and feedback provided, via the website link below:

https://www.education.govt.nz/our-work/consultations/open-consultations/proposed-amendment-to-the-ngaere-school-enrolment-scheme

All submissions are confidential and will be considered as part of the final report. Submissions close 30 August 2024.
If you would prefer, you may address any questions or comments to John Dale of Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | The Ministry of Education via John.Dale@education.govt.nz
